Terms of use

The agreement between you and Woomatures, written in plain English.

These terms apply when you use Woomatures at woomatures.com. Woomatures is run by Woomatures ("we" or "us"). By creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Woomatures.

1. Who can join

To use Woomatures, you must:

  • be 40 or over;
  • be single, separated, divorced or widowed, and not in a relationship or marriage that you're keeping from the people you talk to;
  • not have been convicted of a violent or sexual offence, and not be on a sex-offender register;
  • not have had a Woomatures account closed by us before;
  • be allowed to use a service like this where you live.

You may only have one account, and it must be for you. Accounts can't be shared, sold or transferred.

2. Your account

  • Use your real first name, your real age and recent photos of yourself.
  • Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Tell us straight away at support@woomatures.com if you think someone else has used your account.

3. It's free

Woomatures is free to use. There are no subscriptions, paid features or hidden charges. If we ever offer paid features, we'll explain the price clearly first, and you'll never be charged unless you choose to buy something.

4. How to behave

Woomatures is for people looking for companionship, friendship or a relationship. When you use it, you agree not to:

  • harass, threaten, bully or insult anyone, or keep messaging someone who hasn't replied or has asked you to stop;
  • ask anyone for money, gifts, gift cards, cryptocurrency, bank details or other financial help, for any reason;
  • offer or ask for paid companionship, "sugar" arrangements, escort services or anything sexual in exchange for money or gifts;
  • post nudity, sexual content, violence or hateful content, or photos that aren't of you;
  • pretend to be someone else, or give false information about your age, relationship status or who you are;
  • advertise, sell anything, recruit, or send people to other websites, apps or schemes;
  • share anyone else's private information, photos or messages without their permission;
  • use bots, scripts or automated tools, or copy information from Woomatures;
  • try to get around our safety features, limits or blocks, or interfere with how Woomatures works;
  • break the law, or help anyone else do so.

5. What you post

Your profile, photos and messages still belong to you. So that we can run Woomatures, you give us permission to store them, show your profile and photos to other members, deliver your messages, and make copies needed to run the service (for example, smaller versions of your photos). This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for anything kept for safety reasons as explained in our privacy policy.

Only post things you have the right to share. You're responsible for what you post and send.

6. How we keep Woomatures safe

  • Everyone takes a private verification photo when they join. Only our safety team sees it.
  • We warn readers when a message mentions money, gift cards, investments or moving to another app.
  • Members can report or block anyone, and our safety team reviews every report.
  • We may remove content, limit what an account can do, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other members at risk. Where it's safe and lawful, we'll tell you why.
  • We may share information with the police or other authorities when the law requires it or someone's safety is at risk.

7. Your safety when meeting people

We work hard to keep fake profiles and scammers out, but we don't run criminal record or identity checks, and the verification photo doesn't prove who someone is. You're responsible for how you deal with other members, online and in person. Please read our safety advice before meeting anyone. Never send money to someone you've met online.

8. Leaving Woomatures

You can pause your profile or delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account is permanent. We may also close accounts that break these terms, or stop offering Woomatures. If we stop offering it, we'll tell members by email at least 30 days beforehand where we can, so you can download your data.

9. Our responsibility to you

We'll provide Woomatures with reasonable care and skill, but we can't promise it will always be available, free of errors, or that you'll meet someone. We aren't responsible for what members say or do, on Woomatures or elsewhere, or for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen.

As Woomatures is free, and as far as the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to US$100. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Woomatures changes or the law changes. We'll change the date at the top of this page, and if a change is important, we'll email you before it takes effect. If you don't agree with the new terms, you can delete your account.

11. Disagreements

If something goes wrong, please contact us first at support@woomatures.com and we'll try to put it right.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. If you live in the United Kingdom, the European Union or another country whose laws give you extra consumer protections, you keep those protections, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.
